SEDAbuzz Offers DJs a Day of Learning and Development
The South Eastern Discotheque Association (SEDA) will host its annual SEDAbuzz event next month, inviting both members and non-members to come together for an educational day of learning and development, packed full of seminars. With a venue change from last year, the event will be held on Monday the 12th of May in the Penshurst Room at the Holiday Inn in Maidstone.

SEDA has lined up various industry figures to deliver a number of DJ-related seminars. David Reed (from RSDmusic) will give a seminar on Change for DJs; Mastermix’s Richard Lee will speak on Music Programming & DJ Beats; Social Media will be covered by Helen Lee; and DJs will be able to improve their knowledge of DMX Lighting with Andrew Dykes. More still, full-time wedding DJ Gary Evans-Osgood will talk about the importance of The Client Meeting and share how customer meetings can get you better clients and increase your income, whilst Tony Winyard will offer tips to give your clients to improve their wedding speeches in his Life’s a Speech talk.

“SEDAbuzz has become an important date on the SEDA calendar as it offers a great opportunity for DJs to get together for a day of learning and seminars,” SEDA’s Vice-Chairman Glenn Nash commented. “This year’s line-up of sessions is very strong, so I’d encourage anyone interested in dipping their toe into DJ learning to come along and give it a go. But remember, places are limited, so if you are planning on joining us make sure you register quickly!”

The event costs £10 for members or £15 for non-members, and all payments can be made through Caroline Robinson, via PayPal, after registering and booking a place. A three-course buffet lunch is also offered at a price of £15; this must also be booked and paid at the time of registration.

The day will start with delegates gathering in reception at 9am and seminars will finish at approximately 5pm.
