Elton John To Reissue Classic
A deluxe reissue of Elton’s John’s 1973 album ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ is set for release this March.
The album, which reached no. 1 in both the UK and America, including 7 times platinum in the latter, is widely recognized as one of Elton’s most popular and poignant releases. It was ranked 93 on Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Albums Of All Time’ list and inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2003.
Now, a deluxe reissue will be released on March 24th on CD, vinyl and limited edition yellow vinyl. A box set will also be available featuring a recording of ‘Live At Hammersmith 1973’, a DVD of Brian Forbes’ film ‘Elton John And Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye To Norma Jean And Other Things’ and a 100-page book of rare photos memorabilia and interviews.
Included in both the Deluxe Edition and Box Set will be nine new cover versions of album tracks, with music from Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, Fall Out Boy, Hunter Hayes, Imelda May, John Grant, Miguel featuring Wale, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band.
