ADJ Expands Popular AV Series With IP-Rated Video Panel
ADJ has expanded its AV Series of modular LED video panels with the introduction of the new AV4IP. Offering an IP-rated enclosure design, this high-resolution panel is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use due to its high brightness and colour contrast.

The new AV4IP inherits the simple setup and keen pricing of the other panels in the AV Series (AV6X and AV3), but with the added advantage of a weatherproof IP-rated casing. The front of the screen is designed to comply with the IP65 standard, while the back of the unit is IP54 compliant. This means that the surface of the screen is fully protected against rain, snow and dust, while the back panel is protected against splashing water but isn’t completely dust tight. The screen is therefore ideal for use at temporary events in the open air and can also be used as part of a permanent outdoor installation as long at the rear of the panels are protected from the elements.

With a pixel density of 104 x 104 per panel (43,264 dot/m2), resulting in a pitch of 4.81mm, the AV4IP uses a configuration of 3-in-1 RGB SMD1921 LEDs to generate high resolution video images with a brightness of 4,000 NITs. It offers a wide viewing angle of 140-degrees, 0-100% brightness adjustment and 14-bit processing. Each panel features an internal Novastar data receiving card which means that multiple panels can be linked together using standard ethernet cables connected to one of ADJ’s range of video processors.

Power for multiple panels can also be linked together and each will draw a maximum of 180W and an average of 60W. Weatherproof True1 powerCON and etherCON input and output sockets are provided, to protect the connections from water splashes.

Each panel measures 500 x 500 x 100mm and is divided into two separate 250 x 500mm modules. This, along with quick-release power supply and receiving card modules, allows for easy serviceability and simple repairs. Weighing in at 9kg, and fitted with a retractable carrying handle, the individual panels are easy to lift and rig, with up to 15 able to hang in a vertical drop from a single ADJ AV3RB1 rigging bar. ADJ’s AV3FC road case can also be used to store and transport up to 8 panels with ease, making the AV4IP a convenient LED screen solution.

“The success of the AV Series has been astounding,” enthused ADJ USA’s National Sales Manager, Alfred Gonzales, “its ease of use and affordability have made LED video accessible to many production companies and venues for which it was previously unattainable. AV Series screens are now used for countless indoor events worldwide, which meant that the logical next step was to introduce a weatherproof version that can also be used for outdoor events. The new AV4IP offers the same flexibility and good value as the other panels in the range, but with the added advantage of IP-rated weatherproofing and water proof connections making it ideal for use at festivals, concerts and other outdoor events.”

The AV4IP is available now, both as single panels and complete packages (AV4IP 4x2 and AV4IP 5x3) that include video processors, software, cabling, rigging bars and flight cases – everything that is needed to get an LED video system out on the road!
