Kimberley Walsh To Release Solo Album
Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh has signed a record deal with classical label Decca Records. Kimberley, who is currently training for Strictly Come Dancing, plans to release her first debut album ‘Centre Stage’ early next year.

Kimberley has previously worked with the label to provide the official anthem for team GB during the Olympics. She collaborated with tenor Alfie Boe on a cover version of the Queen hit ‘One Vision’.

She started recording the album over the summer in Stockholm and worked with producers including Per Magnusson and David Kreuger. The tracklist is yet to be confirmed, however, the album will include a version of ‘One Day I’ll Fly Away’ from Moulin Rouge.

"I've always loved musical theatre and doing Shrek! The Musical definitely reignited the passion in me," she said. "The melodies in so many musical songs are so brilliant I knew we could create something special by experimenting with the production and I really feel like we've come up with some interesting takes on classic songs."

Kimberley is currently celebrating 10 years with Girls Aloud with a tour and Greatest Hits album and plans to release her album on the 4th of February 2013.
