Rastamouse Is Back!
Cheese loving children’s star Rastamouse and his group Da Easy Crew have signed a deal with record label EMI to produce a second album. The disc will follow the unexpected success of their first release ‘Making A Bad Ting Good’ and is set to be released in 2013.
Children’s songs have ofen enjoyed mainstream success, who can forget tracks such as Bob The Builder’s ‘Can We Fix It’, the Teletubbies theme tune and the plethora of singles and albums released by The Smurfs over the years. These poptastic tracks for little tots are often requested in the early hours of family dos and embraced by all ages. Rastamouse, who has already released a debut single ‘Ice Popp’ last year, has become the most watched children’s TV programme since the Teletubbies and been critically acclaimed for its diversity.
Rastamouse, voiced by Radio One DJ Reggie Yates, had this to say about the signing, “Mi bare excited dat mi friends at EMI want to hear plenty more choons an' it gonna be a lot ah fun gettin' into da groove. If ya wonderin' if it gonna be a difficult second album, mi can tell ya fi sure dat dere's already some bangin' riddims echoin' round Nuff Song Studio.” Well, you can’t argue with that!
Da Easy Crew's latest single Run Wid' Me (featuring Bagga T and Missy D) is out now, available on iTunes.
