Change Of Date For SEDAbuzz
Earlier this year it was decided that the next SEDAbuzz event would be held on April 23rd. Unfortunately in the past couple of weeks, due to circumstances beyond their control together with availability issues for some of their speakers, SEDA have had no option other than to postpone SEDAbuzz.

The good news however is that the date has been rearranged and the next SEDAbuzz day of training will be held on Monday, June 25th 2012 at The Moat in Wrotham, Kent. This is a
golden opportunity for those who missed the last event to learn from the training material covered the first time around. However, previous
attendees will also benefit from coming back, as updated material on social networking and marketing will be presented.

The day will consist of six 45 minute seminars:

Marketing, Getting the Basics Right
Presented by Paul Forsyth
A session looking at how you can use your website, printed material and social media to best promote
your business. Paul has a wealth of extremely valuable marketing knowledge that he is going to share with you all. Remember to bring your business
cards!

Business Basics to make you RICHERPresented by Dave ReedPopular, and sometimes controversial, Mobile DJ business advocate and trainer Dave Reed will present an overview of Business Finance Fundamentals for the Mobile DJ and explain how a basic understanding
of financial principles and practices can be used to develop business plans to make DJs richer!

The Wedding DayPresented by Brian Mole
Weddings are your best opportunity to shine as a presenter but they do have to be treated in a completely different way to other types of party. Brian is a professional DJ whose main market is in
the wedding industry and he will share with you some valuable tips on how to present yourself and truly prove to your clients that you are absolutely
worth every penny they pay you, if not more.

Going Digital, Avoiding the Pitfalls
& Doing It Right
Presented by Ian Forest
Whether you’re thinking of making the step up to digital but really haven’t got a clue where to start or you already DJ digitally and need help to
improve what you do currently then this seminar is ideal for you. Ian will discuss every aspect of the digital DJ world, laptops, controllers, where
to get your music and so on. Ian has been using a computer to DJ from since 1998 and is widely regarded as one of the ‘digital mobile DJ pioneers’.

Creative LightingPresented by Will Perkins
An information packed session on how to get the best out of the lighting you currently have without having to spend thousands of pounds on expensive
lighting fixtures. Will has spent most of his life immersed in the world of DMX and creative lighting and is very much best placed to give advice in
this area.

Mixing for the Mobile DJPresented by Brian Mole
There’s far more to DJing than just playing music back to back, but you don’t need to be the most
creative DJ in the area to make your performance flow. Brian will introduce you to some mixing concepts that are extremely easy to learn and
master, which will help take your skills to a whole new level! Brian has worked for many years not only as a mobile DJ but also as a mixing DJ.

The cost remains the same as last time for a whole day of comprehensive
training. For SEDA members the price is a very modest £10.00, while entry for non-members is an equally reasonable £15.00. Tea, coffee and biscuits are included and the venue will be offering a special lunch menu for all attendees.
Registration commences at 9:30am and the first seminar will start at 10:30am.

Remember, there are two main benefits on offer to all of those who attend SEDAbuzz. The first is in the knowledge gained from the guys who present the seminars and the second is in the fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.

This event is open to SEDA members and non-members alike on a first-come-first-served basis. There is limited availability and it is expected to be highly popular, so if you’re interested mark sure you register as soon as possible.
