Following a suggestion from local branch members, the National Association of Disc Jockeys has introduced promotional material to help members promote their own businesses as well as their involvement with the association.
At a recent NADJ North West branch meeting, the DJs asked if there was a way of promoting the NADJ to potential customers. The NADJ Chairman, Paul Arnett, and the Branch Development Officer, Peter Lockwood, were both at that meeting and a discussion ensued on providing the materials for members to highlight their membership to customers.
The discussion led to the design of a new roller banner and matching leaflet that can be used at any event where NADJ members want to promote their services and membership of the NADJ (such as wedding fairs). The NADJ team worked on a new design concept, where the information promoted the DJ and their membership of the association. The outcome can be seen below; there are no contact details for the NADJ because it's all about promoting the DJ/member. The leaflet has a large area on the back to which the member’s business card can be attached.
At the next NADJ North West meeting, the team brought the new concept to the members who proposed the promotional material and the DJs all welcomed the efforts and looked forward to the prototypes being rolled out across the branch system. Obviously not all DJs have the design skills to come up with their own leaflet and it can be quite costly getting small numbers of leaflets printed. So, the NADJ team have done the legwork and purchased the leaflets in bulk to get the best deal possible for their members.
Each branch of the NADJ took delivery recently of two roller banners and a large batch of leaflets. They are now available to use at any event where DJs want to promote their services. Each member gets the opportunity to borrow a roller banner for seven days and also take 100 leaflets for distribution at their promotional event. All members who are interested in using the new promotional material should contact their local branch Committee to arrange the collection and return of the items. All of the details for the branches are in the 'Branches' drop-down menu on the NADJ website.
Anyone who does not have a local branch, and would like to be guided through the process of setting one up, should contact Peter Lockwood:
