Stanton Introduces New RM.416 DJ Mixer
The RM.416 is the latest in Stanton’s RM (Rack Mount) series of DJ mixers. Stanton, industry leaders in the design and manufacture of professional audio products for DJs, have created a feature-packed mixer to satisfy the most demanding mobile and club DJs. With four channels coupled with two microphone channels—in addition to a vast array of traditional connectivity—the RM.416 features a USB connection for either playing music from a software application or recording a mix in real-time.
With a logical layout, the RM.416 offers all of the controls and features that a professional mobile DJ is likely to require. Each channel (including the two dedicated mic channels) feature 3-band EQ and gain controls. The mixer is supplied with a VCA cross-fader, which reduces noise and improves fader life, while the cross-fader and line-faders are also user replaceable. Balanced XLR connections are provided for the master output, which also features a 10 segment LED meter and is switchable between mono and stereo. The unit also boasts a fader start function, a separate zone output, and a versatile cuing section, along with illuminated CUE and Fader Start buttons.
Additionally, the RM.416 offers a separate subwoofer output with built-in crossover control, removing the need for an external crossover while maintaining the ability to adjust the output to perfectly match a particular sound system. All of these features are packed into a 4-space rack unit with a rugged metal inner chassis ensuring that the components are protected from damage and assuring a long product life.
“As in all of our mixers, the RM.416 offers a great deal of features plus built-to-last construction with a small price tag,” explains Stanton’s CEO Tim Dorwart. “Incorporating our Soft Start (quiet when powering on/off) feature, an extremely loud headphone out, and a built-in USB connection, the RM.416 is a versatile tool for any DJ on the go.”
