ADJ Introduces New Fog Fury Series
ADJ has released a new line of room-filling fog machines – the Fog Fury series – enabling DJs to enhance their mobile lightshows with fog effects and new wireless technology. Since its last series of fog machines, ADJ has added a number of features in order to make the Fog Fury Series an up to date fogging solution for mobile DJs.
Users can choose from four models, varying in size and heater power – the 1000, 2000, 3000/3000 WiFLY models come with 650W, 1100W and 1600W heaters (respectively) – meaning mobile DJs can use the Fog Fury machines according to room size and in a range of venue types. The series is now equipped with Italian-made piston-action pumps, containing new technology, and these, combined with a special heating element design that uses an oil type transmission throughout the pipeline to prevent clogging, will give users more powerful fogging capabilities.
Being the most compact machine in the series, the 1000 model features a 0.9-litre in-built tank, pumps out fog at a rate of 3,500 cubic feet per-minute and has a four-minute heat-up time, meaning mobile DJs can setup and use the unit in combination with their lightshow to produce impressive results quickly. For this reason, mobile DJs will find the unit suitable for creating atmosphere at private parties and smaller functions. Differing from the 1000 model in that its tank is external rather than built-in, the Fog Fury 2000 gives more coverage. With a 2.5-litre capacity, it produces 7,000 cubic feet of fog per-minute and takes eight-minutes to warm-up, making it useful for mobile DJs operating in slightly larger venues, such as bigger function rooms or lofty church halls. The 3000 model offers even further coverage; with the series’ largest fog machine producing 21,000 cubic feet of fog per-minute from an eight-minute warm-up time, and holding 5-litres of fog fluid in its external tank. It features 3-pin DMX connectivity, a 3-button digital LCD display and three operational modes – Manual, DMX or built-in Timer Control – giving mobile DJs a fully-controllable fogging solution.
Following its range of previous WiFLY products, such as the WiFLY Wash Bar, ADJ has also extended the series by incorporating wireless technology into its 3000 WiFLY model, which has all the features of the 3000 model but with added wireless DMX technology. This ADJ WiFLY system allows users to operate the machine wirelessly, via a DMX controller, eradicating the hassle of wiring and allowing mobile DJs to vary the positioning and operational control of the unit.
In terms of practicality, ADJ has sought to make the life of the mobile DJ easier by installing a new in-tank LED indicator system on all models. Reducing the chance of users being caught out by an empty tank, ADJ has worked an LED into the fluid tank and programmed it to show red when the tank is heating, stay green when it’s ready to use, and flash when the fog fluid is running low. Mobile DJs will also be grateful for the new ‘glowing tank’, which enables users to see exactly what they’re doing as they re-fill (useful for dark environments). Advanced features on all three models include Electro Thermo Sensing (ETS) technology to maintain optimum heat levels with no warm-up time between fog blasts and an automatic cut-off capability for when the tank runs dry. All of the Fog Fury Series models use water-based fog fluid only.
“ADJ is always striving towards innovation and our new Fog Fury Series shows us achieving our goals,” says Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager of ADJ USA. “Due to our range of sizes, the Fog Fury machines can be used to create a unique atmosphere in any type of venue, and the new DMX controller-operated WiFLY technology means the 3000 WiFLY model is more versatile than any fog machine which has gone before.”
