Seminar Schedule Confirmed for Sunday’s NADJ Conference
Following the announcement earlier this week that Mark Ferrell will be unable to present his Getting What You’re Worth seminars at the NADJ Conference and AGM this weekend, the NADJ committee has put together an alternative programme of sessions covering a variety of mobile DJ related topics.

The first session of the day will be led by social media expert Helen Lee. Helen has presented many seminars and regularly writes blogs sharing her hints and ideas on social media, and in this session she promises to share just one tip; but it’s a big one. Helen will unlock the secret to getting Brides-to-be to like your Facebook page!

Past NADJ chairman, DJ trainer and author of ‘Wedding Marketing for DJs’ Derek Pengelly will be up next to present his seminar ‘Breaking through the glass ceiling – What is holding you back?’. Derek will take a look at the reasons why many mobile DJs fail to reach their full potential. He will also share tried and tested methods designed to help you break free from the crowd and stand proud as the expert, experienced professional in your marketplace.

After lunch Luke Sorba and Pippa Evans will present an entertaining and interactive demonstration of the ingredients of communication that lead not only to hugely impressive improvisation but also facilitate open thinking and creative choices. Their presentation will include off-stage participation – the audience calling out suggestions for the improvisers to incorporate; plus on-stage volunteers inter-acting with the improvisers in a safe and simple way e.g. physically moving them at random, contributing spontaneous single words. However, it’s important to note, there will be no expectation or need for the volunteers to be funny!

The final session of the day will come from DJ and Mastermix label manager Richard Lee. During his seminar ‘Mixing It Up – Innovative Music Programming’ Richard will share some of his tips and techniques about music programming including creating innovative sets for your audiences from warm up to finale!

Pro Mobile’s Editor Eddie Short will be attending the event to support the association and a pop-up Pro Mobile Book Store will also be available for any attendees wishing to purchase mobile DJ related educational books and DVDs.

The event is open to all members of the NADJ – as well as other DJs who have already pre-registered. As places are limited, registration for non-members has now closed.
