Sophie Ellis Bextor Returns
‘Murder On The Dancefloor’ singer Sophie Ellis Bextor has announced the release of her forthcoming album ‘Wanderlust’.

The new record will be available from the 20th January 2014 preceded by the debut single ‘Young Blood’. This album marks her fifth time in the studio, following on from her 2011 album ‘Make A Scene’ which debuted at no. 33 in the UK. Her most popular album to date was 2001’s ‘Read My Lips’ which featured the hits ‘Take Me Home’, ‘Get Over You’ and ‘Music Gets The Best Of Me’. Her debut single alongside DJ Spiller, ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’ has been her highest grossing single reaching no. 1 in the UK charts and going onto be the 8th best-selling single of 2000.

‘Wanderlust’ was recorded in just two weeks with a tightly knit group of friends. Discussing the album Sophie said “The album is about roaming and your sense of where you come from, and how you take home with you but you also have this desire to get out there and see the world. I found making this album really empowering. I felt like after ten years of making records, this is like the biggest present to myself. I'm really proud of it and I feel really excited."

The 34 year old singer is currently taking part in BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing ahead of her album release. The full track listing to ‘Wanderlust’ is below:
