| Still Going Strong
|
Keeping any business going these days is very difficult, especially in the highly competitive DJ retail marketplace, but in March Portsmouth Sound & Light were hit with something most don’t have to contend with.
At about 8:30am on Tuesday 1st March a Range Rover swerved off the road, hit a pedestrian and then ploughed into the shop front. The driver escaped with only minor injuries and his young passenger was not hurt, but the pedestrian was seriously injured. The owner of a neighbouring shop rescued the boy, while a fire crew had to cut the driver from the wreckage.
Portsmouth Sound & Light’s sales manager Ben lives in a 2nd floor flat above the shop and heard it happen, “I heard an almighty crash outside and initially thought that someone had just hit the lamp post outside the shop, but when I looked out the window I saw that it was actually far worse! I called my boss to break the news to him and he thought I was playing!”
