THE Magazine For Mobile DJs
Featured Roadshow - Octal 77
In every issue of ‘Pro Mobile’ magazine, we will feature one mobile disco road show in order to give readers an idea of what others are doing in different parts of the country. For issue one, the Pro Mobile team were keen to feature an impressive show and we feel that Trevor Cotterell’s ‘Octal 77’ is just that.

Trevor has been Djing for over 28 years and has played at all types of venues and functions, but we asked how it all started. “At school I was the first to have a portable hi-fi system and I’ve always liked music. When I started a full time job in 1974, from school, as a trainee computer programmer, we started with a three month training course and at the end had a leaving party. I had my hi-fi system there and was asked to do the music (a real seventies disco!). Then back home in Reading I found that nowhere played the sort of music I personally liked (classic rock), so persuaded a local pub to let me run rock nights. They agreed and I established a residency and a name which is still known today.”
