The Stones Shine A Light
All four members of legendary rock band The Rolling Stones turned out yesterday (3rd April) for the London premiere of their big screen rockumentary ‘Shine A Light’. Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie were greeted on the red carpet outside the West End premiere by hundreds of fans and joined for the screening by a host of celebrity guests.

The 120 minute film, which splices together old documentary clips with footage of two recent New York concerts, charts the band’s 46-year history. The concerts were part of the Stones' massive ‘Bigger Bang’ stadium tour, which moved to the intimate 2,800-capacity Beacon Theatre in Manhattan for the filming back in 2006. The band, who have a combined age of 254, were joined on stage for guest performances by Jack White and Christina Aguilera.

For the premiere, the film was shown simultaneously in 100 cinemas across the country at the same time as the London screening. This made it the largest ever UK film premiere. The audience in London included Liam Gallagher, Tom Stoppard, Noel Fielding, Rob Brydon and Chris Evans.

Shine A Light opens across the UK on Friday 4th April and a trailer can be found on YouTube at HERE
