Tony Hadley To Perform With Orchestra
Legendary Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley has announced three forthcoming shows performing with a full orchestra. The performances, which will be conducted by Anne Dudley, will include Spandau Ballet’s iconic hits.
Over the years Tony has forged a successful solo career with highlights such as performing in front of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the ‘Our Greatest Team Rises’ event and at Team GB House for both Olympic and Paralympic athletes on the Closing Ceremony nights with ‘Gold’ becoming the unofficial athletes' song. To date he has recorded four solo albums including the 2006 record ‘Passing Strangers’ which was released via Tony’s own label Slipstream Records.
As part of Spandau ballet, which formed in 1978, Tony received worldwide fame with hits such as ‘Only When You Leave’, ‘Through The Barricades’, ‘True’ and of course ‘Gold’. The group reformed in 2009 and embarked on a sold out tour including three nights at London’s O2, followed by dates in Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain, then on to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the UAE.
