The Pet Shop Boys are set to release their 11th studio album, ‘Elysium’, this September. The 12 track CD follows their previous 2009 album ‘Yes’, which reached an impressive number 4 in the UK album charts.

‘Elysium’, which was produced by Kanye West’s go-to guy Andrew Dawson, will come in two CD formats. The first is a single CD edition, the second contains a limited edition bonus CD which includes instrumental versions of each song. A double vinyl album, with instrumental versions, will also be released in limited quantities. The album will also be available from all digital outlets. On iTunes it will be available with the tracks ‘Mastered for iTunes’ and will also include two videos and a track-by-track commentary of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe discussing the music with David Walliams.



Speaking about the album, which they recorded in Los Angeles, Neil and Chris said, "We wanted to make this album in a different environment. Despite frequent visits there we have never made an album in Los Angeles. Working there with Andrew Dawson has enabled us to make a very fresh-sounding album."

‘Elysium’ will be out on the 10th of September 2012 released by Parlophone/EMI Records.
