Chauvet have recently announced the release of a new rugged and professional LED-powered strobe light that is a true alternative to traditional 750-watt high-end strobe lights. Harnessing the power of 648 white SMD LEDs, the Impulse 648 delivers an astonishingly bright strobe effect with a viewing angle of 120°.

The Impulse 648 generates the intensity required for a good strobe effect without the worry of fragile strobe tubes. Encased in a lightweight and sleek housing, it features adjustable intensity levels and strobe rates, in either DMX or stand-alone mode. In addition to the strobe effect, the Impulse 648 includes an 'all on' feature for use as a wash light, a soft light, audience blinder or work light, making this a highly versatile fixture. What's more, a radiant cooling design provides silent, fan-free, operation for use in noise-sensitive environments.



The Chauvet Impulse 648 features 3 and 5 pin DMX in / out connections and a menu-driven DMX address / mode selection interface for easy setup and maximum flexiblity. The unit is also easily transported due to its weight (4.8kg) and compact size (424 x 224 x 164mm) which makes it an ideal companion for any mobile DJ.
