Hercules Announce the DJ Console 4-Mx for Pro DJs
Hercules have announced the newest version of their DJ Console line, the DJ Console 4-Mx. Aimed squarely at professional DJs, the new device is an innovative and precise controller featuring large jog wheels and a built-in audio interface tailored for DJing, easy connection with existing analogue gear, and intuitive control over 2 and 4 virtual decks.
Built to meet the demands of pro DJs, the DJ Console 4-Mx has an intuitive design along with a sturdy steel and aluminium crafted body. A wide variety of high-performance controls (89 in 2-deck mode and 150 in 4-deck mode) provide users with direct access to every feature of their preferred DJ software application. Providing the ultimate portable solution for mobile DJs on the go, the edgy console also fits easily into the club scene and will be available from the 22nd of November.
The controller’s large jog wheels are similar in size to those used for scratching on market-leading CD players, allowing DJs to switch between mixing on computer and back, without changing scale. The wheels feature an integrated detection technology that’s as precise as it is reliable. Sensors detect the weight of the user's hand on the jog wheel tops and cause them to depress by less than 1mm, just like leading CD players, or the felt mat on a vinyl turntable. This mechanical type of detection in the controller works under all conditions and eliminates the kind of interference that can disturb electrical detection methods: an electrical touch sensor can be interrupted by static electricity, or by lighting truss systems, carpeting or shoes which electrically insulate the DJ.
This new Hercules controller will be bundled with VirtualDJ®7 LE 4-Mx DJing software from Atomix Productions, a longtime partner of Hercules. The software's graphic interface has been perfectly adapted to the console, allowing for mixing on up to 4 virtual decks on both PC and Mac®. The DJ Console 4-Mx is also compatible with all other 4-deck or 2-deck mixing software (if the software is fully controllable via MIDI).
The Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx will be will available at an RRP of £399.99.
