ADJ’s 12P Hex Now Available!
ADJ’s 12P Hex – a larger, more powerful version of the 5P Hex – has been released, giving mobile DJs a par fixture with hex-colour (RGBWA+UV) LEDs and a wide beam angle that allows them to create wide washes in an incredible range of colours. The 12P Hex sees ADJ hold on to the ‘lie-flat’ design and wide beam angle of the 5P Hex, but also lets mobile DJs add power and UV effects to their colour washes using the unit’s bright light source, which consists of twelve 12W hex-colour LEDs.
Thanks to its lie-flat body, the design of which includes DMX and power sockets mounted on the side, users can set the fixture flat on the ground or inside truss, allowing them to up-light walls and decor or use it to warm truss totems. Mobile DJs can also make use of the 12P Hex’s 30⁰ beam angle, which enables wide colour washes to be created – great for sleek up-lighting or the washing of dance-floors and stages.
Users of the 12P Hex can choose from 63 built-in colour macros, or, thanks to its hex-colour LED source, create their own hues (including amber, white, or UV-enhanced blues and purples) to suit the event they’re working, or the requests of a certain client or crowd. Meanwhile, with pulse and strobe effects at hand, DJs can add intensity to their lightshows; combining them with UV colour to generate a display that appeals, especially, to younger crowds and late-night events.

Furthermore, its wide beam angle and unique lie-flat design enable users to achieve far-reaching effects and offer true flexibility at an affordable price, making it the ideal par unit for all users, from mobile DJs to houses of worship.”
When it comes down to control, the 12P Hex offers users a choice of five modes: Static Colour, Program, Sound Active, Dimmer, and DMX-Controlled. With seven built-in programs to choose from, mobile DJs can achieve wash effects in a range of colours using the Sound Active and Program modes, making for simple operation and a quick setup. Those DJs wanting to get more creative with the 12P Hex can do so using the DMX-Controlled mode, which offers four channel options: 6, 7, 8, and 12. Using the Dotz Par RF wireless remote control – an optional add on – mobile DJs can even control basic features wirelessly from behind their booth, without the limitation of wires.
Also helping DJs avoid the need for extensive wiring are the unit’s IEC in/outs, which allow 13 units to be power-linked at 240V. Weighing 3.9kg, the 12P Hex is also lightweight, making it portable and well-suited to the needs of the DJ on the move.
