RCF EVOX Series Offers Mobile DJs New Audio Option
Hoping to exceed the performance and portability of similar systems currently found on the market, RCF has launched its EVOX series of active, two-way, pole-mounted array speakers. Providing an appealing solution for mobile DJs, the EVOX 5 and EVOX 8 offer deep response, precise control over low frequencies and quality audio reproductions, while remaining easy to transport and quick to set up.
The EVOX 5 is a portable, compact, 800W sound reinforcement system that combines quality RCF transducers with high power amplification to offer a maximum SPL of 125dB and a 45Hz-20kHz frequency response. The new system utilises five 2” full-range transducers arranged in a linear array, combined with a 10” woofer housed in a bass reflex enclosure. RCF has designed the EVOX 5 with mobile DJs and live musicians in mind, offering them a portable speaker solution that provides excellent audio reproduction.
A larger, more powerful 1400W system, the EVOX 8 uses the same combination of quality transducers and high power amplification, but makes the most of eight 2” full-range transducers and a 12” woofer. Offering more power (with a maximum SPL of 128dB) and a greater frequency range, the EVOX 8 is a useful addition for mobile DJs that want a speaker solution with a little more punch and a capacity for lower frequencies, without losing portability. Both the EVOX 5 and EVOX 8 are driven by high-power class D amplifiers.
The array design for both systems features constant horizontal directivity coverage of 120⁰, enabling a positive listening experience for audiences. Meanwhile, the low frequency section offers a tight and full bass response everywhere in the room, taking advantage of RCF’s floor placement and accurate port design. With improved clarity and dynamic vocal reproduction, at all levels, the EVOX systems are ideal for DJs who also work as MCs and hosts, or for wedding DJs that need to provide a reliable system for broadcasting speeches.
Furthermore, thanks to their three-step setup, both the EVOX 5 and 8 are easy to setup, teardown and transport. The top column, sub, pole mount and cables all come in one package, which can also be stored in an optional transportation bag, enabling DJs to take the EVOX systems on the road as part of their mobile setup.
