Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the annual Coalville DJ Demo Day will return on Sunday the 8th of February, running from 12:00 - 17:30. The free event – held at the Charnwood Arms in Coalville, Leicestershire – will give DJs a chance to hear and compare speaker systems of various sizes in a Speaker Showdown (starting at 12:30).

Sponsored once again by Advanced Event Designs, the event – which is organised ‘by DJs for DJs’ – promises to be bigger and better than ever in order to celebrate a decade of meet-ups, with audio and lighting products on show from a range of leading brands, including Bose, FBT, OHM and RCF. Mobile DJs planning on investing in a new speaker system can listen to the latest products that the market has to offer; comparing smaller systems to those offered by bigger brands – all in a function room setup to offer a realistic gig environment. Live product demos will also be taking place, showcasing lighting equipment, dancefloors, star cloths, DMX software, and more. There will also be an opportunity for visitors to buy, sell and auction off equipment in a dedicated second-hand area.

Further entertainment on the day will come in the form of competitions and raffles. The Charnwood Arms pub/restaurant next door to the event will also give visitors an opportunity to network with like-minded DJs and technicians as they enjoy hot and cold food and drink.
