ADJ Launch LED-Enhanced Retro Flashback 4
ADJ has announced the release of its new LED-enhanced Flash Back 4 fixture, offering DJs a retro-looking and easy-to-use party lighting system. But whilst its name and look may hark back to the classic disco days, the Flashback 4 appeals to audiences both young and old, as well as mobile DJs, thanks to a modern LED-makeover, speedy setup time, and an affordable price tag.
Audiences and mobile DJs alike will, no doubt, love the old-school look for those popular retro nights, but it is the LED-enhancement made my ADJ which makes the fixture more than just a blast from the past. Supplied as a matching pair, each of the system’s 4-bank LED fixtures has one green, one blue, one amber, and one red cluster of 36x 10mm LEDs, resulting in vibrant colours and powerful light output.
Whilst the Flashback 4 seems to be a fairly simple but effective fixture, it can be used in a range of situations. In true retro fashion, the fixtures fold up into a transportable hard-case, making it ideal for mobile DJs and allowing for a fast break down and a quick set up. Mobile DJs can be set up and ready to start the party in a matter of seconds – it’s just a case of plug in and play. Multiple top-hat mountings also allow the fixtures to operate in freestanding, portrait or landscape positions, giving users a variety of positioning options.
Due to its LED-enhanced colours and fast setup time, Mobile DJs providing entertainment for children’s parties will find the Flashback 4 meets their need of a simple, effective solution. The cool retro style will go down well with teenagers or a slightly younger clientele and the pulse, strobe and chase features – including eleven chase settings – ensure attention-grabbing effects on the dance-floor.
“We’ve taken the basic outline of a traditional 4-bank panel fixture and dragged it into the twenty-first century by adding clusters of 36x 10mm LEDs,” says Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ USA. “ADJ is always looking for its products to be versatile and the Flashback 4 is suitable for a variety of purposes. Being quick to set up due to its light weight and rugged hard-case housing, the fixture is perfect for mobile DJs. But equally, its flash, strobe and multiple chase settings make it ideal for generating excitement amongst both children and young adults.”
