Mobile DJs Set To Unite at BPM 2015
With tickets now on sale and a range of artists, speakers and brands to be announced soon, BPM 2015 will give mobile DJs plenty to get involved in this September at the NEC Birmingham. For the first time, the event will include a dedicated ‘mobile DJ village’ in which like-minded DJs can socialise and engage in informative educational talks.

At BPM 2015, Pro Mobile Magazine will once again host a series of mobile DJ-focused educational sessions, all of which will take place in an inflated Learning Space away from the noisy exhibition floor, giving mobile DJs a better environment in which to hear the presenters and become fully immersed in the sessions.

So far, a number of sessions have been confirmed. Respected DJ and regular Pro Mobile contributor Tony Winyard will deliver a talk titled ‘Mobile DJs: Double Your Fees’, while Irish wedding specialist Martin Keogh will share some of the things he does to make his clients’ big days extra special. Industry veteran Roger Squire (who recently became a regular contributor to the magazine) will present a seminar on getting more bookings, drawing upon his past experiences as well as industry research. Also on the bill, DJ trainer Derek Pengelly is set to join forces with David Nazaruk (voted best DJ at the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards) to provide a presentation on recognition, referrals, repeat business and rewards.

In addition to these talks, the NADJ will host two sessions: Paul Arnett’s ‘Ten Things You Can Do Right Now’ will offer business advice that can be instantaneously put into practice, while Chairman Alan Marshall will debut his new talk, titled ‘Why Didn’t I Get The Gig (Is It Me)?’

For the first time, the event will see mobile DJ-relevant exhibitors grouped together in a ‘mobile DJ village’. This is where visitors will find the Pro Mobile stand, along with NADJ, SEDA, Mobile DJ Network and other suppliers of related products and services. Sitting at the heart of this area, Mastermix will host a Networking Hub designed to help mobile DJs make new connections and share ideas. Ready to chat with DJs and get the networking going, the team from Mastermix will be on hand – and a few of their celebrity friends may even drop by too!

As always, the CHAUVET BPM ARENA will return once again, hosting DJ sets and performances from an eclectic line-up, as well as showcasing the latest CHAUVET lighting gear. Popular with mobile DJs in previous years, the Dance Classics party will run once again, giving visitors chance to let their hair down and enjoy a few hours out in front of the booth rather than behind it.

The PA Experience – another popular feature – will also return for 2015. Held in a gig-sized space separated from the main show-floor, the PA Experience lets visitors listen to PA systems from a host of leading brands, demonstrated side-by-side to give mobile DJs an unrivalled chance to choose the right setup for their specific needs.

Offering further excitement, and ensuring an action-packed Sunday afternoon for turntablist enthusiasts, BPM 2015 will see the DMC World Championship UK Finals leave London for the first time in 10 years! Taking place in the ARENA along with the DMC’s Battle For Supremacy competition, the event will give visitors a chance to see history unfold before their eyes.

Advance tickets for BPM 2015 – which runs from Saturday the 12th to Monday the 14th of September – are on sale now and start at just £15.00 (+ £1.50 b/f). Pro Mobile readers can save £5 using the code found in the latest issue – Pro Mobile 72.
