Ahead of this October’s BPM | PRO show in Birmingham, organisers have announced DJ Jazzy Jeff as the official headliner. The hip-hop icon, best-known for his work with Will Smith’s Fresh Prince, will join an eclectic array of performers during the two-day event.

Performing on the event’s Sunday night (22nd of October), DJ Jazzy Jeff will treat visitors to a hit-packed headline set in the Chauvet DJ Arena after the show floor closes. The hip-hop legend – credited with creating the ‘transformer scratch’ – found fame as one half of the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, before going on to land a role (as himself) in the spin-off TV show that made Will Smith a megastar.

But DJ Jazzy Jeff has gone on to do plenty more than that. With numerous awards under his belt – including three Grammys – the turntablist and hip-hop icon has enjoyed success with a whole host of projects. As well as creating acclaimed solo albums such as The Return of the Magnificent, Jeff has collaborated with a range of notable acts, including Kenny Lattimore, Tatyana Ali and soul goddess Jill Scott.

While his performance inside the Chauvet DJ Arena will be a definite highlight for BPM | PRO 2017, DJ Jazzy Jeff will be joined by a host of other artists and DJs. This year’s show will also give visitors a chance to interact with world-renowned technology brands, experience live pyrotechnics, and expand their industry knowledge through seminars and practical workshops.
