Mobile DJ Show South Returns For 2016
Following the success of the Mobile DJ Show South event organised by Mobile DJ Network last year, the gathering of mobile DJs will return in 2016 on Sunday the 24th of April. Taking place at Lingfield Park Racecourse, Mobile DJ Show South will incorporate an exhibition of equipment alongside educational seminars and is open to all mobile DJs.

The educational sessions will take place between 2pm and 5pm and include the DMX For Beginners class that proved popular last year alongside talks from Brian Mole on ‘You Can’t Get That For A Wedding Round Here?’, Kevin McNally on ‘Understanding Sound Specs and Cutting Through The Bull’ and ACS Custom’s Jono Heale on ‘Play Safe Now – Hear Tomorrow’.

Speaking about last’s year’s event Mobile DJ Network’s Pete Williams said, “I was amazed by the amount of DJs who turned up for the DMX and other classes, where I expected the main show to be the big draw. It’s really encouraging that so many DJs want to learn more and progress, so if we can help them do that then it’s the perfect balance.”

The 600 square metre exhibition area will be open from 3pm to 9pm and feature displays and product demonstrations from leading brands, niche suppliers and local retailers offering ‘show only’ deals. Exhibitors will include ADJ, DJ Superstore, DJ Event Planner, FBT, Kam, Laserworld and the Prolight Concepts Group (Equinox / LEDJ).

In addition to plenty of time for browsing exhibitors’ displays and networking with fellow visitors, the show will also include dedicated slots where a representative from each exhibitor will have the chance to talk about and demonstrate their products. The day will end with a prize raffle and then a sound and lighting demonstration showcasing what can be achieved with the current generation of affordable DJ lighting fixtures and DMX control.

“Last year was a step up for MDJN with regard to shows, The Lingfield Park event was without doubt a great success,” said Mobile DJ Network’s Robert Griffiths. “What pleased me most was the very positive atmosphere from DJs. MDJN is probably most recognised by the Facebook group it sponsors and Facebook groups by their very nature can be a breeding ground of negativity, critics and - let’s be realistic - unfortunately trolls. However, the show was as far removed from that as is possible! The event really lifted my spirits as many people came up to me and the admin team and said they loved the group and the show was far better than they imagined, the positive energy in the rooms was palpable and very invigorating. The MDJN South Show now is a highlight of my, and many other DJs, calendar and I would really advise anyone in the South to try to make this amazing event specifically for Mobile DJs.”

Tickets are free for members of Mobile DJ Network and are just £3 for non-members. Parking is also free for all and a licensed bar will be open throughout the show.
