Allen & Heath Launches Xone:43 DJ Mixer
The Xone:43 is the new four-channel, analogue mixer from Allen & Heath, designed for working DJs in need of a compact audio solution that still offers quality. The company has equipped the latest addition to its Xone Series with a range of enhanced features, including Xone filters, X:FX routing, three band EQ, VCA faders, and an adjustable crossfader.
The new mixer contains the companys renowned analogue Voltage Control Filter (VCF) system, which offers high-pass, low-pass and band-pass filters, as well as frequency and resonance controls, allowing mobile DJs to get creative with their mixing. The Xone:43 also boasts a simple-to-use X:FX feature, which provides control over send/return for each channel for use with external FX units. DJs can also route this feature to the Xone filter, allowing them to build layers of filters and effects.
The Xone:43 mixer is designed for DJs of all abilities and experience, whether youre an electronic music enthusiast or a working DJ needing a compact quality mixer and fantastic analogue audio quality, commented Greg Ibbotson, Xone Product Manager. Its a stylish addition to the Xone Series.
In addition to its four phono/line channels, the Xone:43 has been fitted with a flexible mic/aux input, which offers XLR/phono connectors and 2-band EQ, for tonal balance. This means mobile DJs who want to connect a secondary input source can do so, while those who act as MC can connect their microphone and adjust the EQ to achieve their preferred tone. The main mix output is also provided on professional standard balanced XLRs for a good quality and reliable connection to an amplifier or active speaker system.
Allen & Heath has also given the Xone:43 a user-changeable crossfader with three curve settings, making it the ideal mixer for those mobile DJs that want the option of taking their sets into more experimental territory. Meanwhile, with its 3.5mm and outputs, the mixers simple headphone monitoring section offers the user control over levels, cue/mix and split-cue monitoring.
