From Monday the 14th to Thursday the 17th of March hundreds of mobile DJs from across America, and indeed the world, met together in Las Vegas for the 20th annual Mobile Beat DJ show. The largest event in the world dedicated completely to mobile DJs, Mobile Beat returned this year to the home of many of its earlier shows, The Tropicana Hotel, which has recently undergone a complete renovation. Located right in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip the Tropicana proved to be the perfect location for DJs to learn, network, socialize and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer. For the many DJs who weren’t fortunate enough to be able to make the trip out to Vegas we’ve put together 8 highlights of the show to give a flavour of what Mobile Beat 2016 had to offer...
5) Expo Floor
Sound, Lighting and Effects Gear For Mobile DJs
Following a packed morning of educational content, the Mobile Beat Expo Floor opened on Tuesday afternoon. Conveniently located adjacent to the main seminar area, the Expo Hall offered delegates the chance to see the latest sound and lighting gear in action and also meet with suppliers offering a vast range of related products and services. Well-known brands such as ADJ, Chauvet DJ, Pioneer DJ, Bose and Peavey were well represented, alongside niche companies offering everything from retro 80s arcade machines to sleek LED-lit photo booths.
