From Monday the 14th to Thursday the 17th of March hundreds of mobile DJs from across America, and indeed the world, met together in Las Vegas for the 20th annual Mobile Beat DJ show. The largest event in the world dedicated completely to mobile DJs, Mobile Beat returned this year to the home of many of its earlier shows, The Tropicana Hotel, which has recently undergone a complete renovation. Located right in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip the Tropicana proved to be the perfect location for DJs to learn, network, socialize and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer. For the many DJs who weren’t fortunate enough to be able to make the trip out to Vegas we’ve put together 8 highlights of the show to give a flavour of what Mobile Beat 2016 had to offer...
4) Chauvet DJ’s Main Room Lightshow
‘Dynamic Lighting for Dynamic Income’ by Jeremy Brech
The production in the main conference space at this year’s Mobile Beat was really impressive. It featured a myriad of fixtures from sponsor Chauvet DJ put together into a show designed and programed by Jeremy Brech. On the second day of the show Jeremy hosted a presentation on using lighting creatively at events and made use of the lighting system to demonstrate the principles outlined in his seminar. This was far from a sales pitch, but rather a very interesting lesson on using lighting technology to enhance an event and complement music in a way that clients will recognize as valuable to their special occasion.
