In the nineties, the CD was king, Top of the Pops was still essential family viewing and musical genres that had roots in the eighties came catapulting into the mainstream. It was the decade of Brit Pop, Grunge, Boy Bands, Girl Power and Dance Anthems. It’s also an important period in music history for modern mobile DJs to be familiar with, as many of the couples now getting married grew up listening to their favourite bands on a Sony Walkman, or reading about their pop idols in Smash Hits, back in the nineties.
